CONGRATULATIONS to Officers Magallon and Alarcon-Villanueva. Today they graduated from the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA) at College of DuPage after sixteen weeks of intense training. Both will begin the field training program next week.

Yesterday, the Mundelein Police Department was invited to the back-to-school supply giveaway at McDonald's (151 N. Lake St). We love taking any opportunity to give back to our community. Thank you to all the volunteers from Districts 75, 76, and 79, the Mundelein Fire Department and to the Mayor of Mundelein for attending the event. Good luck to all the students in the 2026-27 school year!

A huge thank you to Mundelein AutoZone (1470 S. Lake Street) for joining forces with the Mundelein PD, keeping a 2022 roadway safety and community assistance initiative alive! Instead of a citation, officers have the ability to issue a $25 AutoZone gift card when encountering a resident in need with a minor equipment violation or other safety related concern involving their vehicle. Drive Safe Mundelein!

What a night! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate National Night Out with us! You danced, tested your aim dunking Trustees and Law Enforcement, met K9 Ranger, got your face painted, explored amazing vendor tables from local businesses, scored free swim passes to Barefoot Bay, witnessed a bubble show and got creative at our Tie Dye station. It was a beautiful evening made even better by spending it with our incredible community members!

A huge thank you to the Mundelein Parks and Rec, the Mundelein Citizen Academy Alumni, the food trucks, and all the local businesses that came out to make the night so special.

Join us today at 5pm-8pm for our National Night Out at Courtland Commons! Along with all the extra activities, the Park District will be giving out free swimming passes at Barefoot water park and the MCPAAA will be hosting their annual Dunk Tank Fundraiser, where you get the chance to dunk Village Trustees, police officers, and D75 administrators.
