We had 3 Rescuers that traveled to Paducah, Kentucky on Saturday October 10th & Sunday October 11th for their first weekend of Rope Rescue Technician Training. They will travel back to Paducah next weekend Saturday October 17th & Sunday October 18th to finish their class.

We were honored to be a small part of this tremendous memorial yesterday. We were asked to assist with parking cars at the graveside service which we glady did along with many other community volunteers. I certainly can't name everyone that helped but we had a Cookville, Tennessee Police Officer there to help and a couple firefighters from Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS. We were truly amazed at the number of people that showed up to honor one man's life and support his family. We will definitely keep Hayden's family, friends, and coworkers in our thoughts and prayers !

Rescuers from Hart County Search & Rescue, Barren County Rescue, Technical Rope And Cave Emergency Response, Hiseville Volunteer Fire Dept, and Logan County Search & Rescue spent 16 plus hours this past Saturday & Sunday completing Swiftwater Rescue Operations Training. Swift/Moving/Flood Water is one of the more dangerous rescues a Rescuer could potentially be involved in and after many hours of training in it the last several years we definitely make different decisions today than we would have 25 years ago. Think about all the destruction sometimes caused by flooding and about all the debris along with other hazards in flood water. Tough decisions sometimes have to be made during a swift/moving/flood water rescue which may include waiting till the water has receded before doing anything. Thanks to Bill Matney Rescue Training for providing another great class as always.

After parking cars at the graveside service for KSP Trooper Phillips this afternoon we went to El Mazatlan in Munfordville for dinner and all the staff there were wearing these shirts. This was awesome !

Hart Co. Sheriff's Department, Hart Co. Search & Rescue, Hart Co. Emergency Management, KSP, and Cub Run Fire Department are currently looking for missing 80 year old male Earl Marshal Reynolds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and khaki pants with suspenders. He was also last seen driving a blue 2020 Chevy Silverado 4 door with front end damage on the front passenger side traveling on Martin Pierce Road toward Cub Run. If you have any information on the whereabouts of this individual call 911.
