Munich Fire and Ambulance

Munich Fire and Ambulance Fire dept came into existence in 1963, the amb in 1971. Amb redistricted in 2023. The fire department consists of approximately 25 volunteer men.

Bruce Wirth is the current fire chief, assisted by Todd Eisenzimmer. The eight townships served by the fire district each have one director named to the board. The ambulance department has approximatly 22 volunteers, five of these are EMTs. This organization became a seperate entity in 2007, with three of the EMTs on the board of directors. Craig Schommer holds the president position on both entities. Rita Wirth is secretary and treasurer for both.

We'd like to thank everyone who came out today to make our 18th annual pancake breakfast a success! We'll see you all next year and maybe Jason and Rylan can practice pancake flipping a little. 😆
