The Chamber of Commerce is about more than networking events and lunch meetings. It’s about advocacy, scholarships, community engagement, and finding ways to give back.

We’re proud to continue that commitment by donating $500 to support the Munster Police K-9 Unit.

The K-9 Unit will be hosting its golf outing this Saturday at Centennial Park, followed by a community event at Byway Brewing. It’s especially meaningful to see this fundraiser supported by fellow Chamber members, as both Centennial Park and Byway Brewing are active partners in our business network.

Events like this are a great example of what can happen when businesses, nonprofits, local government, and residents work together to strengthen our community.

Member Monday: Hasse Construction

This week we had the chance to visit Hasse Construction, a fourth-generation family business that has been building communities across Northwest Indiana for more than 100 years.

One thing that stood out was hearing Bill talk about the pride that comes from driving through the region and seeing projects your family and team helped build.

Over the years, Hasse has worked in just about every area of construction- from roads and underground utilities to schools, hospitals, industrial facilities, and commercial developments.

Some projects you may recognize include the Kankakee Welcome Center, Lost Marsh Clubhouse, Bulldog Park, and the parking garage and helipad at Community Hospital in Munster.

It’s easy to see why Hasse has stood the test of time. Their experience, versatility, and commitment to quality continue to leave a lasting impact on the communities they serve.
