******Road Closure Alert******

Location: Regency Park Dr. Between Tower Dr. and Banner Drive

Reason: Drainage Improvements by city Street Department Stormwater crew. Includes new box culvert and pipe installation

Start Date: 7/20/2026

Work hours: 6am -2pm

Duration: Approx. 3 weeks depending on weather

City Trash pick up will not be disrupted

First responders access will be accommodated.

Please note road will be closed day and night for the duration of the project.

Some more fun for our crews! Our tree crew had an impromptu simple machine lesson with ESP students from Cason Lane, Scales and Overall Creek while working. Always fun to share what we do and we always welcome helpers.

We'd like welcome Ryker to our Stormwater crew! Crews are at Highland Ave. replacing pipe. We were told by his Mom that since the notice went out that we would have the road shut down to work he has been waiting. Today he came out dressed in his very own uniform and ready to work!

Murfreesboro let's show up, show out and support our hometown American Idol!!

Location Change: OFFICIAL plans for our Hometown visit and we can't wait. . .

On Wednesday, May 6th -we will have a parade downtown at 4 pm (even in the rain) to welcome Jordan McCullough back to the 'Boro! Come out and line the streets and cheer on our Top 3 finalist for American Idol.

At 6 pm, we will have a live concert with Jordan at the Siegel INDOOR Soccer Complex. Join us as we celebrate one of our very own.

That's our guy!!

We are pleased to announce Carson Elder as our new Assistant Director. Carson in his most recent role served as a Public Works Foreman and City Arborist.

He will continue on as arborist in his new role because well...he is a Rockstar at it.

Today our city arborist and crew had the pleasure of planting six trees at Reeves Rogers.

The students got to help in filling in the dirt after the trees were set.
