Early Voting has officially started! Here's what Coffee County Democrats and other residents need to know:
Early voting for Tennessee's May primary runs April 15-30. Election Day is May 5.
1. Why Your Democratic Vote in the Primary Matters
We have tons of Democrat candidates on the ballot! Even if we only have one candidate per office, your vote is still vital because it:
• Creates a visible record that Democratic voters exist here
• Establishes a baseline for future candidates
• Gives organizers data to work with
• Shows potential candidates they won't be alone
A huge turnout of Democrat voters will signal to everyone that we mean business.
2. Check Your Registration and Ballot
Use Tennessee's voter lookup tool (https://tnmap.tn.gov/voterlookup/) to check your registration, find your polling location, and see your sample ballot.
Download the GoVoteTN app (https://web.go-vote-tn.elections.tn.gov/) and make a plan for when you'll vote.
3. New Rule: You'll Sign a Primary Participation Form
When you check in, you'll affirm that you're either a member of the party whose primary you're voting in or that you intend to affiliate with that party. State officials have acknowledged that falsifying this document can carry legal consequences.
What this means for voters:
• Democrats: Straightforward—vote blue.
• Independents/unaffiliated voters: You can vote Democratic by confirming that you intend to affiliate with the Democratic Party. This doesn't lock you in permanently.
• Former Republicans: If you now want to vote Democratic, you can do so, by confirming that you intend to affiliate with the Democratic Party.
The Plan:
✓ Check your registration
✓ Find your polling station
✓ Schedule a day and time to vote early (April 15-30)
✓ Pull a Democratic ballot!

Early voting is going on from now until April 30th. It's time to show Coffee County that the Blue Wave is officially here. Let's do our best, and make it count.
