We’re inviting the community to help bring the USA 250 Mural Mosaic to life by painting 4x4 tiles that will come together as one powerful piece of art! The completed mural will be installed on the historic Shacklett’s Photography building at 105 South Church street, with an unveiling on July 3rd at 6:00 PM.
There are many opportunities all across the community to paint a tile, and even some at our own facilities!
May 22: Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center (511 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd) from 7:00 AM-12:00 PM
May 23: The Wilderness Station (401 Volunteer Rd.) from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM
May 29: Cannonsburgh Village (312 S. Front St.) from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
June 4: St. Clair Senior Center (325 St. Clair St., ages 55+) from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
These painting workshop sessions are free and open to all ages. All the supplies will be provided, all you need to bring is your creativity!

During the summer of 1975, meetings were taking place and several drafts of site plans were being drawn up for a new historical attraction, Pioneer Village, in Murfreesboro. One set of plans were unveiled in the paper on August 14, 1975. Notice how they have a pond located in the center of the village!
