We’d like to take a second to thank the MTSU Aerospace Department’s Unmanned Arial Systems led by Dr Kevin Corns and Daryl Hickman and student pilots for providing overwatch operations during large scale events for our department.

With their assistance, the additional overwatch provides us with real time footage and helps us further ensure the safety of our campus community and their guests.

Thank you for all you do.

Campus Community,

MTSU is canceling its monthly tornado siren test scheduled for 11:20 a.m. today, May 4, on campus and at Tennessee Miller Coliseum.

Tests are conducted on the first Monday of each month, except for University holidays or other exceptions, such as inclement weather in the area or to prevent disruptions to university activities, in this case, final exams and a previously scheduled special event.

The test, conducted by the University Police Department, is once again a brief opportunity to ensure MTSU’s outdoor warning system is working as needed. No safety actions are necessary, and no campus activities will be affected.

Remember: Whenever there’s a weather emergency or a weather-related campus schedule change, you'll automatically receive a Rave Mobile Safety alert at your MTSU email address. You can log in at https://www.getrave.com/login/mtsu with your university credentials to receive texts and voice messages, too.
