It was an honor to meet our founder, Charlie Kirk’s pastor, Rob McCoy, at World Outreach Church! Rob is also the father of Charlie’s and TPUSA’s chief of staff, Mikey McCoy. The Lord used Pastor McCoy to preach the Gospel to an audience of hundreds of thousands of people in person and millions online, including our nation’s leaders at Charlie’s memorial.
Many things in Pastor McCoy’s sermon stuck out! Rob gave us a history lesson on our country and how it has been Christian since its founding. For example, our founding fathers got the idea of three branches of government (executive, legislative, and judicial) from Isaiah 33:22. “For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is He who will save us.” â€â€(Isaiah‬ â€33‬:â€22‬ â€NIV‬‬)
When Jesus said He would build His church on Peter/the rock, He used the word Ecclesia, which equates to a city hall. Pastor Rob has been to the ecclesia in Ephesus. In the front, two words were written on it: liberty and equality. Tyndale translated the first English translation of the Bible this way and was hanged for doing so.
There is a massive difference between a revival and an awakening. The 10 major revivals all led to an awakening, a massive change in the culture. Lord, grant us a revival and an awakening!
