The Union County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help deputies search for Cordell McMillan, an autistic man who has been missing from Union County since the evening of Thursday, April 27.

McMillan, 21, has no immediate family in the area and has been living at 82 Nichols Circle off Copperhead Road in the west end of the county.

He told his roommate Thursday that he was "going to the city" and has not been heard from or seen since, and the roommate reported him missing Saturday.

McMillan is 6'1" tall and is estimated to weigh about 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green shirt and carrying a lime-green backpack.

The GBI has been called in to assist with the search, but as of this time, the Sheriff's Office has very little information to go on.

Anyone who has information that could lead authorities to McMillan's whereabouts is being asked to call either 911 or the Sheriff's Office at 706-439-6066.
