Thank you to Mountain Lakes Board of Realtors for sponsoring two of our summer movies and making them free for the community. June 24th Sing and July 29th Trolls will be free admission. All others will only be $2 per person. Can't wait to see everyone again this summer.

The America 250 Window Decor Contest deadline was Monday, May 25. We do realize that it rained almost every day leading up to this deadline. That's why we are giving everyone the remainder of this week to finish your decorations.

Official judging will take place JUNE 1 - JUNE 5. We have three non-biased judges (people who do not own or work for any downtown business) who will make their determinations for 1st through 5th place prizes.

Even if you do not get your decorations up in time for the competition - I would like to encourage everyone to still show some American Pride for the upcoming Cherokee County America 250 Heritage Festival which will be 4PM-Dark on Saturday, July 4th.

Downtown Murphy, NC honors those who gave it ALL.

Our cemeteries in downtown contain many generations of HEROS who gave their lives for our freedom. Thank you. You can visit these locations to pay your respects. Our history tour visits many of the downtown cemeteries.

👏👏👏Grateful for this quick turnaround to repair the covered bridge. Enjoy the Murphy River Walk on this Memorial Day holiday.
