We, the Democrats of Calaveras County, are patriotic American citizens who are committed to the rule of law, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. We are a diverse, open-minded group who fervently seek to act with moral responsibility, public integrity, and human compassion; and we are bound by these common beliefs:

*We believe in an open honest, and straightforward government that provides se

curity from threats both foreign and domestic.

*We believe that the people that serve us by providing that security- the Armed Forces, law enforcement personnel, firemen and all other public servants, deserve our country’s respect and should be provided the best equipment available and be paid a fair and honest wage.


*We believe in an open and honest press that is not unduly influenced by the government or special interests.

*We believe that because our country is the wealthiest country in the world that all of our citizens should have access to health care and education.

*We believe that the government should concern itself with public issues and leave issues of personal choice to the individual.

*We believe that all Americans deserve equal treatment under the laws of our land, regardless of race, gender, financial status, age, religion or sexual orientation.

*We believe that we should be good stewards of our land. Clean air, clean water, healthy forests and diverse wildlife are resources we value and will work to protect.

*We believe that we must repair, rebuild, reclaim, and clean up the land, rivers, seas and air, in cooperation with nations around the world.

*We believe in the defense of our country and we also believe that war should be waged only after honest attempts at diplomatic reconciliation.

🚨 LOCAL ACTION NEEDED! 🚨

A $10 million CalHome grant helped turn Habitat for Humanity - Calaveras’ Eureka Oaks community from a dream into reality. That funding paid for the streets, sidewalks, utilities, and underground infrastructure needed to launch what is now the largest Habitat build project in California, with 107 affordable homes planned right here in Angels Camp.

Without CalHome, Eureka Oaks might still be progressing just one or two homes at a time. Instead, local working families now have a real path to homeownership.

CalHome funding is critical not only for Eureka Oaks, but for future affordable housing projects throughout Calaveras County and across California. Please take a minute to contact our state legislators and urge them to fully fund CalHome. 🆘

With the Governor’s May Revise released, the Administration and Legislature are now making final decisions about what will be included in the 2026–27 State Budget. We need to make sure CalHome is part of it.

CalHome is California’s only state program dedicated to the production and preservation of affordable homes for ownership. Without renewed funding, shovel-ready affordable homeownership projects across the state could stall.

If you're returning your ballot at the last minute, do NOT place it in a blue USPS mailbox. Instead do one of these three things:

✅ Take it inside your local post office and ask to have it HAND-STAMPED with the day’s postmark.

✅ Drop it in your official county ballot drop box.

✅ Deliver it directly to a Vote Center or polling location in your county.
