Jackson County State's Attorney Marsha L. Cascio-Hale will be a featured speaker at the Wear Orange Day event in Carbondale on Thursday, June 4. The free community event runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the John C. Guyon Auditorium at Morris Library on the SIU campus and includes a screening and discussion of the short film "All the Empty Rooms," focused on the impact of gun violence in our local area. This event is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there.

On this Memorial Day, the Jackson County State's Attorney's Office pauses to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country. The freedoms we protect in our courtrooms every day exist because of their sacrifice. We are grateful. We will never forget. In observance we are closed today, Monday May 25th.
