Congratulations, Madison!!!

🌟Student of the Week Spotlight 🌟

Congratulations to Madison Purdy, who is The Murray Bank Student of the Week. Madison is a 7th grade student at Calloway County Middle School, and the daughter of Matt & Melissa Purdy. Madison is actively involved with multiple extra-curricular activities on and off campus as a member of the academic team, speech team, Laker band, L4C, and FBLA. Scott Pile, 7th grade science teacher and academic team coach, says of Madison: "she is so very accomplished and very successful on the academic team...she will be representing the Lakers at the state tournament in all three of her events (fine arts, language arts, and quick recall)." Additionally, Madison is active with Playhouse in the Park, and also works with Mrs. Abby Sykes, Calloway County School District's Speech and Language Pathologist. Mrs. Sykes states that "Madison is not just a gifted student when it comes to education. Madison is a gifted student in ways many adults will never achieve. She has a true servant's heart. She looks for ways to assist peers in many diverse ways. Currently, she is teaching herself American Sign Language (ASL) so a peer will have someone to communicate with and feel comfortable. She saw a need. She did not ask someone to help. Instead, she put her mind to work so she could help a peer." Madison is such a thoughtful and kind young lady! She makes us proud everyday here at CCMS. She is always the person you want on your team due to her character and work ethic. Congratulations, Madison!!!
