Our County Annual day was a huge success! I am so proud of all our Calloway County Homemakers for their hard work and dedication. Robin Bracken and her committee did a phenomenal job. Congrats to Vickie Jost for Homemaker of the Year, Connie Talent for Viewer's Choice winner of the Cultural Arts competition and Eve Adams for her State Cultural Arts 3rd place poem.

It was a fun day pressure canning carrots and talking about Homemaker clubs!

I had a last minute cancellation for the pressure canning class this morning. First one to call our office 270-753-1452 can have that spot. Class is at 10 am, cost is $5, we are canning carrots!

Modern Homesteaders had a fabulous meeting last night. Megan Wyatt and Cathy Clark presented a lesson on herbal teas, shared information, teas and desserts.

We are excited to explore the formation of a new Radio Club for Homemakers focused on learning valuable communication skills while serving our families, friends, and neighbors. In times of storms, disasters, power outages, or when other forms of communication are lost, amateur radio can provide an important way to stay connected and share information quickly.
