Surplus Auction
On June 10th (Wednesday) at noon (12:00 PM), a surplus auction will take place at the Calloway County Road Department. Below is a lot of the items that will be put up auction. A list of items is found in the comments.

All Items will be sold as is no returns and must be paid for day of with check only, cash if it is exact amount of bid.

Individuals may view the items in advance at 105 East Sycamore Ext. on Monday – Wednesday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

All sales are final to the highest bidder. Payment is required day of auction. Removal of item won, is required day of sale, some exceptions will be made for larger items.

Looking for an experienced mechanic who wants steady, consistent hours and a solid work environment.
Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (overtime or occasional weekends as needed).
This role focuses on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on trucks and equipment used in day-to-day county operations.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 (𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) – A KYTC contractor plans to close KY 94 at mile point 6.44 in Calloway County, starting Tuesday, May 26, for a bridge rehab project.

This is between KY 783 and Hudson Road/Oaks Country Club Road, west of Murray.
Expected to be completed by the end of July, weather permitting.
Please self-detour.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 (𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) – Expect a lane restriction on the Clayton Creek Bridge at mile point 10.843 on KY 121 South in Calloway County on Tuesday, May 19, weather permitting.

This is near KY 893, southeast of Murray.
Bridge patching work expected to be completed by mid-day.
Watch for signs and flaggers. Use caution.
Additional repairs could be scheduled at a later date.

Early Voting will take place at the Courthouse Annex, 201 S. 4th Street, Murray on the following dates:
• Thursday, May 14: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Friday, May 15: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Saturday, May 16: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
✅ No eligibility requirements – any registered voter may use Early Voting.
Important Notice:
The Courthouse Annex will be open for Early Voting only.
Annex department offices will be closed during this time.

Please leave a message or email the respective department as needed. All other Calloway County Fiscal Court Offices will remain open for normal business hours.

📣 Announcement from Judge Executive Kenny Imes
Judge Imes announced the following project updates today:
✅ Potts Rd Bridge and Charley Miller Rd Bridge are expected to reopen by the end of the day today.
✅ Claytontown Rd Bridge is expected to reopen by noon on Friday.
🛣️ Paving over these areas is being scheduled, and additional updates will be shared as timelines are confirmed.

UPDATE: Bridges on Furches Trail Road (Calloway Co.) & KY 1203 (Carlisle Co.) to Close Apr. 29 & 30 for Paving
KY 1203 Closure Extended

PADUCAH, Ky. (May 1, 2026) – The closure of KY 1203 in Carlisle County has been extended through Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

PADUCAH, Ky. (Apr. 28, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close a section of Furches Trail Road in Calloway County and KY 1203 in Carlisle County on Wednesday, Apr. 29 and Thursday, Apr. 30, respectively, for bridge paving.

Furches Trail Road in Calloway County will be closed to traffic at mile point 1.59, just south of KY 1550, starting Wednesday. This roadway will reopen once paving is complete. The estimate for reopening is Thursday, weather permitting.

KY 1203 in Carlisle County will be closed to traffic at mile point 3.09, between KY 1022 and KY 1741, starting Thursday. A new bridge over Gray Creek was recently constructed and temporarily opened to traffic using compacted gravel approaches.

To allow crews to install a waterproof membrane and complete paving and striping, the bridge will need to be closed to traffic for about four working days, weather permitting.

The KY 1203 bridge will reopen once the work is completed.

Approximately 167 vehicles travel this section of KY 1203 in an average day.
