𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 (𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) – KYTC plans to implement a lane restriction today, June 23, along KY 280/Pottertown Road in Calloway County, east of Murray, at mile point 4.3 near the intersection of Beane Road for roadway repairs. This is near J & J Marine.

Expected to be completed by 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Watch for signs and flaggers in the work zone. Use caution.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 (𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) – KYTC plans to implement a lane restriction along KY 1483/Bethel Road between KY 80 and Elm Grove Road (or mile points 2.2 and 4.1) in Calloway County, beginning as early as Monday, June 8, for maintenance and ditch work.

The work may start later in the week if delayed by inclement weather.
Once work starts, it is expected to be completed in one day.
Use caution.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 (𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) – Two bridges in Calloway County have reopened to traffic following the completion of paving work:

Clayton Town Road is now open at mile point 0.17, just north of the Kentucky-Tennessee State line.
Potts Road is now open at mile point 1.45, between KY 80 and KY 464.

NOTE: Paving is underway today, Friday, June 5 at another bridge replacement project in Calloway County - at mile point 2.09 (over Wades Creek) on Charley Miller Road, located about halfway between Kelly and Jackson roads. The roadway is expected to reopen to traffic by the end of the day today, once the work is completed.

🚨 Tornado Siren Test Scheduled for Friday Morning 🚨

The Calloway County Office of Emergency Management will conduct a quarterly test of the tornado warning sirens in Murray, Hazel, and on the Murray State University campus on Friday, June 5, at approximately 9:00 a.m.

The test will begin with the Murray State University warning system, which includes both a tone and a spoken announcement. The City of Murray sirens will then be tested, followed by the City of Hazel sirens.

Residents can expect:
🔹 A wavering siren tone, which represents the tornado warning/alert signal.
🔹 A steady siren tone, which serves as the "all clear" signal.

These tests help emergency officials verify that all sirens are functioning properly and ensure the warning system is ready when needed. Siren testing is conducted quarterly in accordance with National Weather Service guidelines and the Calloway County Emergency Plan.

If severe weather threatens the area Friday morning, the test will be postponed to a later date. At this time, the forecast calls for fair weather.
