UPDATE: Bridges on Furches Trail Road (Calloway Co.) & KY 1203 (Carlisle Co.) to Close Apr. 29 & 30 for Paving
KY 1203 Closure Extended
PADUCAH, Ky. (May 1, 2026) โ The closure of KY 1203 in Carlisle County has been extended through Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

PADUCAH, Ky. (Apr. 28, 2026) โ The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close a section of Furches Trail Road in Calloway County and KY 1203 in Carlisle County on Wednesday, Apr. 29 and Thursday, Apr. 30, respectively, for bridge paving.
Furches Trail Road in Calloway County will be closed to traffic at mile point 1.59, just south of KY 1550, starting Wednesday. This roadway will reopen once paving is complete. The estimate for reopening is Thursday, weather permitting.
KY 1203 in Carlisle County will be closed to traffic at mile point 3.09, between KY 1022 and KY 1741, starting Thursday. A new bridge over Gray Creek was recently constructed and temporarily opened to traffic using compacted gravel approaches.
To allow crews to install a waterproof membrane and complete paving and striping, the bridge will need to be closed to traffic for about four working days, weather permitting.
The KY 1203 bridge will reopen once the work is completed.
Approximately 167 vehicles travel this section of KY 1203 in an average day.
