A great Memorial Day! We swapped out the unserviceable flag at the Black Rifle Coffee Co. and had a handful of Cadets join us for coffee and good conversation. Then we went to the VFW and did the Color Guard for their Memorial Day service. Thanks to Cadets Anderson, De Los Santos, Weidig, and Zajac for spending their day off with me. The Cadets at the BRC and the VFW remembered today is not just a holiday, but a day of rememberance.

Today we recognized our Cadets who were promoted as well as our Cadets who got awards. Today Cadet Johnstone was promoted to Sergeant and Cadet Weidig & Cadet Parker were promoted to Cadet Corporal in Alpha Company. In Bravo Company Cadet Campbell was promoted to Cadet Corporal and Cadets Mason and McCormick were promoted to C/PFC. In Charlie Company Cadets Collins was promoted to Cadet Corporal, Cadet Maples was promoted to Cadet Staff Sergeant, and Cadets Mcwirth, Locklair, & Schaffer were promoted to Cadet Private First Class.

Don't call it a comeback, but the Copper Sharks are back. They swept all 4 streamers for Week 36. They took the Fitness, Uniform, Excellence, and Esprit de Corps streamers. This is the last week for Honor Company with 6 streamers left to give out (to include the Drill 2 and Cadet Challenge streamers). The Angel Sharks still lead with 23 streamers, the Copper Sharks are now at 19 streamers, and the Bull Sharks are at 11 streamers. Will the Copper Sharks come from behind or will the Angel Sharks hold them off? Honor Company will be announced at the Awards Ceremony next week. Who will be Honor Company?

The Alpha Angel Sharks and Charlie Copper Sharks are again Co-Honor Companies for week 35. The Angel Sharks took the Fitness and Esprit de Corps streamers, while the Copper Sharks took the Uniform and Excellence streamers. The Angel Sharks lead with 23 streamers, followed by the Copper Sharks with 15 streamers, and the Bravo Bull Sharks with 11 streamers. With 2 weeks and 10 streamers left, time is running out, can anyone catch the Angel Sharks?

We held our last promotion board of the year last week. Please congratulate Cadets Brady Weidig, Jonathan Campbell, Gavin Parker, Sophia Collins, Austin Johnstone, and Caden Maples for passing the board. Cadets Weidig, Campbell, Parker, and Collins will be promoted to Cadet Corporal. Cadet Johnstone will be promoted to Cadet Sergeant. Cadet Maples will be promoted to Cadet Staff Sergeant.
