Great story on what's to come in 2028.

Thankfully Robert Kellerhouse kept equestrian alive at Galway Downs through the tougher times and Ken Smith took it from a debilitating state in foreclosure and made major investments to become a world class facility.

Can't wait for the world to see what a special place we get to live in.

Looking ahead to LA 2028, some sports may not be held in Los Angeles County. Equestrian matches may be held in Temecula. Christian Cazares reports for the NB...

It will be interesting to see what our policy makers do with the blessing of the once in a century wet winter we just experienced. Will they squander it? Or, will they store it and rebuild our resiliency against the next 23 year mega drought?

According to the experts that study and monitor the Colorado River Basin, we are still only at 32% of capacity. It would take six years like the winter we just had to fill the Colorado Basin's reservoirs, which is not likely.

So, will they squander or store? Which ever direction our policy makers go, I hope they consider water storage capacity versus future demands and roads. Our future depends on it!

I can say, without equivocation, this coming election will impact the quality of life Murrieta has enjoyed for decades. Thank you to the many I have spoken to and have a sincere interest in what's best for Murrieta. Please consider the following and GET OUT AND VOTE!

City Council District 2 is really the only competitive race. CHRISTI WHITE is clearly the best candidate! She is intelligent, open minded, sticks to her principles, and is extremely involved in District 2 and the city as a whole. I see her as a Council Member that builds consensus to get what her district needs, but also binds with other Council Members to make Murrieta strong as a city. This will be greatly needed in the future as our city will face major hurdles as a whole, not separate districts.

District 5 is a no brainer. Vote SCOTT VINTON. The only other candidate is a write in.

Similar to District 5, District 1 has only one viable candidate, JONATHAN INGRAM. The other registered candidate publicly withdrew from the race. However, his name will still be on the ballot.

The School Board is another important factor in Murrieta's quality of life. Murrieta residents enjoy top rated schools. This didn't happen by accident. It took the hard work of Board Member's KRIS THOMASIAN, LINDA LUNN, and their staff. Keep it this way and VOTE for KRIS THOMASIAN and LINDA LUNN.

Vote YES on Measure T!

This past year Murrieta was ranked the 2nd safest city in the NATION! Also, Murrieta has been ranked in the top 10 safest cities in the nation for the last decade. This has been accomplished by funding our own Police and Fire departments. However, the demands for service have risen exponentially. I would implore all of our residents to keep Murrieta Safe and maintain our quality of life by voting YES on measure T!

Over 3 years ago Julia Carona Rogoff and I sat down to discuss the needs of the community. She educated me on the need and desire to have programs for special needs. One glaring gap to me was job training. While we were brainstorming along came Samantha Morton, thank God! Through the hard work of these two, and the Board, Cultivating Inclusions is in full swing, ending a successful year in the garden while giving back to the community.

Good to see hard work, passion, and dedication come to fruition (literally)!
