Due to the delayed construction work on the sidewalk, Dungeons and Dragons, Teen Advisory Board, and Teen Writing Club are now re-scheduled for their original days in September.

🚧 SIDEWALK UPGRADES II: TEMPORARY LIBRARY ENTRANCE 🚧

Beginning September 11, our sidewalk improvements will be moving into the next phase! Construction will shift to the concrete directly outside the library’s main entrance. This means we’ll have a temporary entrance for a short period while this work is completed.

📅 SEPTEMBER 11 – 21: Our main library entrance will be inaccessible during this phase.

What patrons should know:

📍 Please enter through the Municipal entrance located on the first level of the Municipal Building. Once inside, take the elevator to the library.

🅿️ Please use the upper Library parking lot whenever possible and walk around to the Municipal entrance. ADA/accessible parking is available in the Municipal parking lot. Parking will also be available along the front of the Municipal Building, as space allows. Please do not park in the Police Department parking lot.

📖 Our Book Drop will be temporarily relocated to the Municipal entrance so you can continue returning materials during this phase.

📚 The library will remain open during this phase, but our hours will be adjusted from September 11 – 21. Please see the new hours below.

Friday, September 11: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Saturday, September 12: CLOSED

Sunday, September 13: CLOSED

Monday, September 14: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Tuesday, September 15: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Wednesday, September 16: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Thursday, September 17: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Friday, September 18: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Saturday, September 19: CLOSED

Sunday, September 20: CLOSED

Monday, September 21: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Hours will return to normal on Tuesday, September 22.

Construction is weather-dependent, so the schedule may change.

Additional construction will follow in Phase III (September 22 – October 12). Beginning September 22, weather permitting, the main Library doors will be open again. Work will continue around the main Library doors, including curbs, sidewalk, and railing installation.

🐾Happy National Dog Day🐾

Dog Reading Pals is a monthly event at the library that allows our younger readers to practice their reading skills by reading a book to one of the dog volunteers. To celebrate, we are highlighting one of these furry friends!

💕Meet Lili💕
✨Age: 12
✨Breed: Yellow lab
✨A note from her owner, "We do about four visits a month to different facilities or groups who are looking for the special kind of comfort she provides. She is also a certified trick dog, so we often perform for those we visit as well. Lili loves going to the Murrysville Library where the kids read to her, pet her, and even lay next to her on the floor. The kids enjoy it and we like how she makes other people happy!"
