Downtown Muscatine is navigating an important moment as the City evaluates next steps for several buildings identified with structural concerns. Mandatory evacuations remain in place, but engineers do not expect further deterioration.

The City is working with property owners to determine whether stabilization or demolition is the safest path forward, with a decision expected in early July. A new resource page is available for residents and businesses, including information on the Downtown Muscatine Relief effort.

Please continue supporting downtown businesses that remain open.
