We are super proud of all of the work our Muskies put into their All-State auditions this year!

This year, Hayden Gonzalez (junior) was selected into the ensemble for her third consecutive time on bassoon. Garrett Bosten (senior) was selected into the ensemble for his first time on clarinet & Ajay Rushford (junior) was selected as an alternate for the second consecutive time on percussion.

Congratulations to all of the students who participated this year on their journey to achieving excellence!

Today is a no school day for students and staff at MHS. What do band students do? Come to the high school to work with jazz musicians.

They are here with a quartet from Hard Bop Express. The artists are giving the students a workshop on jazz music, history, and improvisation.

The group will be performing tonight at Wesley United Methodist Church downtown. 7pm. It’s free! Attend and don’t miss out!

We invite you to take a break from your devices for an evening or afternoon and support our students as they present Guys and Dolls at Muscatine High School. Tonight's 7pm performance and two shows tomorrow at 2pm and 7pm offer something for everyone. Your attendance would mean a great deal to our talented young performers. I am delighted with the pit orchestra this year, and it's a testament to our students' hard work. Next year, I will be passing the baton to our Orchestra Director. This classic musical, set in the 1930s, promises to be an enjoyable experience with familiar songs. I encourage you to put your phone away and join us for an entertaining afternoon or evening, free from the stresses of screen time. From our superintendent: The high school's production of Guys & Dolls is underway, with tonight being the second of four shows.
