The Village of Muscoda is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the full-time position of Utility Clerk. This role is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and includes a comprehensive benefits package. Reporting to the Village Administrator, the Utility Clerk performs a variety of administrative and financial duties, including utility billing, cashiering and collections, customer service, general accounting, and office support. This position offers valuable exposure to municipal operations and opportunities for advancement into roles such as Clerk/Treasurer or Deputy Clerk/Treasurer. The Village provides on-the-job training and support to foster professional growth and long-term career development. Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of general accounting practices and at least two (2) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Candidates must have strong communication skills, the ability to interact effectively with the public and coworkers, adapt to new software, and maintain confidentiality. The ideal candidate is organized, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Wage is based on qualifications and experience, ranging from $22β$25 per hour.
