The Cecil Township Fire Department has been invited to join Billie Anne’s Diner for Fire Department Appreciation Day from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

The public is welcome to stop by, meet your firefighters, check out our fire apparatus and equipment, and spend time with the members who proudly serve our community every day.

We appreciate the support from Billie Anne’s Diner and look forward to seeing everyone there!

Today marks a major milestone for Cecil Township Fire Department!

Today, Cecil Township Fire Department has officially expanded our capabilities to respond to medical emergencies as a licensed EMS agency through the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

This success began in 2024 with the creation of our Emergency Medical Services Committee within the fire department. This dedicated group of emergency medical providers worked hard to obtain equipment and supplies, coordinate planning efforts, and guide us through the process of achieving this goal.

We also want to extend a sincere thank you to our partners and primary ambulance provider, SouthBridge EMS. SouthBridge EMS will continue serving as the primary Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider for Cecil Township and remains an essential partner in providing emergency medical care to our community.

As part of this enhancement in service, Cecil Township Fire Department personnel will now respond alongside SouthBridge EMS on critical medical emergencies, allowing us to place additional trained personnel and resources on scene sooner to better serve our residents.

This is another step forward in our continued commitment to improving service and enhancing emergency response capabilities for Cecil Township.

This is the 4 hour National TIM Responder training course, this class is registered for both EMS con-ed and MPOETC CLEE Credits. We will be including a virtual tabletop excersise for this class.

🚨 FLOOD WARNING – CECIL TOWNSHIP 🚨

Cecil Township is currently under a flood warning until 11:00 AM. Storm activity is impacting areas throughout the township.

🚧 Road Closure:
• Glass Hill Road is CLOSED
Between Millers Run Road (State Route 50) and Cumer Road
Due to a downed power line

⚠️ Safety Reminders:
• Stay away from downed power lines
• Do NOT drive around road closure signs or barricades
• Never drive through flooded roadways – Turn Around, Don’t Drown

Crews are actively monitoring conditions and responding as needed. Please use caution if you must travel and continue to follow updates.
