In a last ditch effort, we're seeking your assistance with locating this tailgate. It was stolen off of the pictured truck around 11 p.m. on May 10th near the intersection of Kelsey Dr. and Crowbar Dr. The owner is a local firefighter who was attempting to sell the vehicle and will now have to lower their asking price if the tailgate is not found. If you have any information regarding its whereabouts, please contact Officer Beck at (262) 679-4130 reference IR 26-9327. Tips can remain anonymous. Thank you!

Hope everyone had a nice, relaxing, extended weekend. Now back to work!😭 Here's what we were up to:

Friday, 05/22/26

8:24 a.m. – A U/I complainant called the police department to report observing a male subject walking along the sidewalk near the intersection of Janesville Rd. and Tess Corners Dr. carrying what the caller believed was a propane tank and spraying the contents of said tank onto the ground. Could this be a landscaper spraying for weeds possibly? Are they wearing a uniform? An officer responded. A landscaping company’s truck was located nearby as were a few employees. No propane tank being emptied onto the sidewalk was observed. 10-8.
10:30 a.m. – A 58 year old Burlington resident with a warrant was located in the parking lot of a business located in the W17800 block of Janesville Rd. The warrant was through the Racine Co. Sheriff’s Office for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver's license status. She was taken into custody, and due to the warrant not having a bond amount, she was transported to WCJ for an orange pants party. It looks like bail jumping charges were added later. Fun.
5:50 p.m. – A 66 year old resident of the S7500 block of Kingston Dr. called the police department to report her neighbor’s fire pit was too close to her fence and they were burning at the time of the call. Okay then. An officer responded, measuring tape in hand. Upon arrival, the distance between pit and fence was measured and confirmed to be within municipal code parameters. Our caller was advised. Crisis averted (insert eyeroll here).
6:22 p.m. – A 52 year old New Berlin resident called the police department to report being followed while en route to his place of employment located in the W17000 block of Janesville Rd. The investigating officer would later learn that this stemmed from an earlier road rage incident. The operator of the suspect vehicle, which was described as a raised, white pickup with aftermarket rims and a large exhaust (so every other truck in the high school parking lot?), was a M/W subject with a beard, wearing a hat (so half the men in Muskego?). A third party caller would later corroborate our complainant’s claims, however the suspect driver and vehicle were never located.
6:44 p.m. – A 74 year old Waterford resident was cited for following too closely after causing an accident near the intersection of Woods Rd. and Lannon Dr. No injuries were reported. A crash report was completed.
11:09 p.m. – A 15 year old Wind Lake yoot was cited for a curfew violation after being located near the intersection of Janesville Rd. and Lannon Dr. What first drew the officer’s attention was the yoot riding on the rear of an e-bike with no rear tail lamps. The operator of the e-bike was nowhere to be found, and according to the yoot, had dumped him due to not wanting to have contact with police. Some friend. Mom was contacted and responded to pick up her child.
11:17 p.m. – A 40 year old resident of the W17500 block of Scenic Drive called the police department believing they were in need of medical attention after taking some “old Molly”. That’s not nice. You should never reference a lady’s age. But seriously, why are we taking “old Molly”, hmmm??? An officer and TCFD paramedics responded. Upon arrival, the caller refused to be transported to an area medical facility. Then why did you call? Phone contact was made with his wife who told us to leave him there. Yes, ma'am!

Saturday, 05/23/26

12:26 a.m. – Two yoots were pulled over near the intersection of Lannon Dr. and Janesville Rd. after the stopping officer observed them blow through a stop sign near the intersection. They were doing a really bad job of not drawing attention to themselves prior to that, as they were observed continuously circling the area. One yoot initially lied about her age, because she was only 15 and out past curfew. The driver was cited for the stop sign violation and the other was cited for the curfew violation prior to mom retrieving them as well. It’s 12:26 a.m., do you know where your children are?
10:17 a.m. – A 61 year old resident of the W17400 block of Janesville Rd. called the police department to report his vehicle had been stolen. If it’s the vehicle I’m thinking of, it had not moved in well over a year. An officer responded to gather further details. The vehicle was initially entered into NCIC as missing/stolen, but a neighbor would later tip off a different officer that the vehicle had in fact been towed. Contact was made with the property manager who confirmed this, and the vehicle was located at the associated tow company’s yard. Yeah, that’ll happen. My guess is they warned you to move it several times too.
3:53 p.m. – A 61 year old resident of the W14900 block of Cornell Circle was arrested on domestic violence related charges through the City of Brookfield P.D. One of our officers responded to assist with the arrest.
7:56 p.m. – A 25 year old New Berlin resident was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license status in the parking lot of the business located in the S6500 block of Moorland Rd. Officers and TCFD paramedics initially responded for what was believed to be a medical emergency due to the arrestee being observed passed out and unresponsive behind the wheel of her vehicle, which was still in drive. Once it was determined there was no medical emergency and she was simply doing things she shouldn’t be doing, she was transported to the police department, booked, cited, and released to her mommy.
9:24 p.m. – A 21 year old Madison resident was cited for hitting a parked vehicle in the W18900 block of Steeplechase Dr. then leaving the scene without saying anything. Fortunately for the vehicle owner, there were witnesses. The vehicle that was struck was not occupied, so no injuries to report, just a hit and run crash report to complete. Those darn, pesky stationary objects.
11:03 p.m. – Officers responded to a residence in the S10500 block of N. Shore Dr. after a U/I complainant called to report a loud party at the home where they believed underage drinking was occurring. Upon arrival, contact was made with those present, who were advised of the complaint. A yoot residing there ended up being cited for UAD. Thanks for the call and tip!

Sunday, 05/24/26

3:22 a.m. – An officer stopped out with a vehicle with severe front end damage that was occupied and parked in the parking lot of a business located in the S6400 block of Racine Ave. Contact was made with the operator, a 36 year old Milwaukeean, who indicated having hit a deer while driving on I-43. The Waukesha Co. Sheriff’s Office was contacted and notified of the crash occurring in their jurisdiction, so a deputy responded. In conjunction with the crash, the operator was also intoxicated, so the deputy handled that too. The subject was subsequently arrested for 1st Offense OWI and transported to WCJ for an orange pants party. A tow company was contacted and removed the vehicle.
7:21 p.m. – Officers and TCFD paramedics responded to the intersection of Oakridge Lane and Hackberry Hill Ct. for the report of a single vehicle accident. The vehicle involved in the crash had previously been called in as a reckless driver. Upon arrival, contact was made with the operator who was not impaired, but rather suffering from a medical related issue. They were transported to an area medical facility for treatment and a crash report was completed.
9:04 p.m. – Enough neighbors called and complained about the music coming from a party in the W14900 block of Woods Rd. that an officer responded and told the 32 year old homeowner that the amps had to be turned off and the other speakers turned down. They complied and everyone that wanted to go to bed was able to.

*SCAM ALERT*

We've gotten several calls already, so we're just letting you know that the Federal Marshals are not coming for you because you missed court in Milwaukee County...as a Waukesha County resident. Don't pay them anything, just hang up and block the number. Or, if you're not busy, use your best elderly person voice, pretend you're hard of hearing, and make them repeat themselves 50 times before hanging up like I do. 🤣

Now it's Friday! Woot, woot! What's everybody got planned this weekend? Me? I'm heading back down to Speedway, IN for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. 🏎️

Monday, 05/18/26

12:02 a.m. – A 40 year old resident of the W16300 block of Janesville Rd. called the police department to report having some issues with the lady friend. Officers responded. The entire altercation was verbal in nature, so it was suggested that one of the parties leave and stay elsewhere for the evening. Our caller was transported to a hotel in New Berlin, however was later observed returning to the residence in an Uber approximately 2 hours later. Always nice when people don’t take our advice. He was advised not to cause anymore issues. Contact was attempted with the lady friend, but she was fast asleep.
8:51 a.m. – An employee of a business located in the W14500 block of Janesville Rd. called the police department to report the theft of gasoline. Most likely a mix up, and yet another reason to make all the pumps pre-pay. An officer responded to gather further information. A registration plate check and follow up with the owner will be conducted to get the fuel paid for.
10:44 a.m. – A resident of the S6700 block of Oak Hill Dr. responded to the police department to report an unknown subject had gained access to their Sam’s Club account and purchased $2,600 worth of gold jewelry. They had arranged for pick up at a local location, so even though our complainant was able to cancel their card and the transaction, the investigating officer will still be following up to see if anyone shows.
12:48 p.m. – A 37 year old Saint Francis resident called the police department requesting assistance with getting some of his belongings out of a storage unit on the south end of the city. The reason we needed assistance was due to the fact that the ex-girlfriend was the owner of the unit and he no longer had a key. Phone contact was made with ex-girlfriend who agreed to meet our caller and an officer later that afternoon. Transfer of property was successful.
3:12 p.m. – A 27 year old resident of the S6900 block of Woodland Ct. responded to the police department to report a suspicious vehicle he had seen driving slowly through the neighborhood on several occasions during hours of darkness. He also believed that gasoline had been siphoned from his vehicle on one such occasion. An officer was summoned to gather descriptors of the vehicle. The complainant was advised to call the police department if/when the vehicle returned.
5:47 p.m. – A 57 year old resident of the S7800 block of Overlook Bay Rd. was pulled over in the W17000 block of Janesville Rd. because his driver’s license is suspended. He was also out on bail, with conditions of not operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Back to WCJ he went on bail jumping charges with new orange pants party conditions.
8:17 p.m. – Back over to the W16300 block of Janesville Rd. to meet with the lovely couple once more. The male party was now claiming that the female party would not leave him alone (is this your first relationship?) and he had since locked himself in the bathroom of the residence. That seems a bit over the top. Why not just go for a walk??? Upon arrival, officers spoke with both parties. Female party was a wee bit inebriated, but she ultimately decided to go elsewhere for the evening. Assistance provided.
9:10 p.m. – A 71 year old resident of the S7800 block of Overlook Bay Rd. called the police department to report there was a garbage can on fire outside his place. TCFD and an officer responded, but the flaming refuse receptacle was nowhere to be found. Contact was made with our caller who pointed the location out to the officer, but still no fire. Alllllrighty then.

Tuesday, 05/19/26

12:41 a.m. – Meanwhile in the W16300 block of Janesville Road…back together and drinking again. This time, the male party called to report the 44 year old female party had thrown a wine glass at him. He must’ve done something to provoke having a wine glass thrown at him, because when officers responded back over, it was the caller who was arrested for a domestic related disorderly conduct charge, as well as bail jumping, then transported to WCJ for an orange pants party. The 72 hour contact prohibition period was invoked, so let’s hope that eliminates all phone calls from this place for the next few days.
3:46 a.m. – I spoke too soon…this time, officers and TCFD paramedics responded for a medical related issue. The patient was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Okay, now no one is home, so we really shouldn’t be receiving anymore phone calls.
10:22 a.m. – A U/I complainant responded to the police department to report a male subject had been lying in the middle of the road near the intersection of Janesville Rd. and Parkland Dr. You could’ve just called. The complainant stated other citizens were at the location assisting the male subject. An officer responded to assess, but no one was located lying in the middle of the street. Cool. 10-8
5:41 p.m. – A young couple residing in the S6800 block of Gaulke Dr. called the police department after hiring a locksmith company to change the locks on their home and fearing they may have been scammed. An officer responded to gather further details. The locks had been replaced and the officer made phone contact with the business and verified its legitimacy, so hopefully minds were put to ease, the house is secure, and everyone is happy now.

Wednesday, 05/20/26

8:35 a.m. – A trucking company out of Sturtevant was cited to the tune of about $4,500 after their driver was caught operating an overweight vehicle on Tess Corners Dr. near Janesville Rd. Always sounds like a nice awkward conversation starter with the boss.
9:56 a.m. – After a MNSD student reported observing some peculiar behavior by a bus driver to their School Resource Officer, the SRO made contact with the fleet manager of the bus company who informed the SRO that the 61 year old Milwaukeean had been terminated prior to the complaint being made. Investigation continuing.
3:54 p.m. – An officer responded to the intersection of STH 36 and Muskego Dam Dr. for the report of a two vehicle accident. No injuries were reported and no tow truck was needed. Crash report completed.
4:25 p.m. – Another one, this time at the intersection of Woods Rd. and Durham Dr. Again, no injuries. A 75 year old resident of the S7900 block of Foxboro Ct. was cited for failing to yield the right of way. Crash report completed.
5:45 p.m. – Shoutout for good parenting here. A yoot at the library notified a librarian that their e-bike had been stolen from one of the bike racks outside. The librarian called the police department to report the theft, so an officer responded. Upon their arrival, yoot’s mom was also on scene. Investigation revealed mom had come to the library and taken the yoot’s e-bike due to the yoot leaving the house after being told not to. I like it. Hopefully some of the embarrassment from causing such a ruckus and everyone finding out we didn’t listen to mom is enough to prevent the yoot from making the same mistake again.
6:09 p.m. – A 28 year old New Berlin resident was pulled over for a registration violation near the intersection of Janesville Rd. and Parkland Dr. Further investigation revealed he held an active warrant through Franklin Police Department for failing to appear for his court date regarding a separate traffic violation. He utilized his “phone a friend” lifeline and the bond was paid on scene prior to his release, but not before he was cited for having open intoxicants inside his vehicle.
10:37 p.m. – A neighbor called the police department to report observing the 64 year old resident across the street running past the garage of the home, then disappearing inside. A case of the suspicious quick movements! An officer responded and made contact with our suspicious runner who was just fine and dandy. No issues, 10-8!

Thursday, 05/21/26

7:22 a.m. – A concerned passerby called the police department to report a construction crew was blocking a lane of travel on Hillendale Dr. near Tyler Dr. and they did not have anyone flagging or monitoring traffic. Not good. An officer responded to assess. Given the location and close proximity to curves, the crew was advised that they needed someone or someones monitoring the flow of traffic while their equipment blocked a lane.
8:04 a.m. – Officers and TCFD/paramedics responded to the intersection of Racine Ave. and College Ave. for the report of a two vehicle accident. One occupant was transported to an area medical facility for non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed. A 60 year old Waterford resident was determined to be the at fault driver and was cited accordingly. Crash reported completed.
9:33 a.m. – An employee of a business located in the W18800 block of Janesville Rd. called the police department to report that the day prior, a patron had entered the store and purchased several gift cards with what was later discovered to be a fraudulent debit/credit card. An officer responded to gather further details and surveillance footage. Investigation continuing.
12:00 p.m. – A 25 year old resident of the S6600 block of Jewel Crest Dr. called the police department to report an unknown subject had opened up a credit card in her name, which might have been nice if she had actually wanted it, but she didn’t, so they’re just a scamming, conniving, jerk. An officer responded to gather further details. Investigation continuing.
1:51 p.m. – A U/I do-gooder located what they thought was a valid IL driver’s license on the ground in Park Arthur. They turned it into an officer nearby, who determined it belonged to a 19 year old yoot residing in the S9600 block of Groveway Lane. That’s funny…how can you have an IL driver’s license but only ever have lived in Wisconsin? Oh, because that’s your fake ID. A phone number was located and we gave him a ring. He was advised that his fake had been found, but that we would be keeping it, and should he be found in possession of another, we wouldn’t be so nice next time.
2:02 p.m. – A 47 year old resident of the W14600 block of Hidden Creek Ct. called the police department to report watching a large truck struggling to get out of his driveway via the surveillance cameras on his home. Our caller wasn’t expecting any deliveries, so he wasn’t sure what the truck was doing there in the first place. An officer responded to investigate. Contact was made with the FedEx driver, a 40 year old Milwaukeean, who was in fact stuck due to the incline of the driveway. A tow truck was already en route. Our complainant was re-contacted and informed that the truck would be removed before they got home from work.
2:38 p.m. – A 43 year old resident of the W20100 block of Monterey Dr. called the police department to report a door-to-door solicitor had walked up her driveway and used the port-o-john on her property that was put there for the construction crew working at her residence. Our caller did not take kindly to this and wanted the solicitor tracked down and trespassed. Unfortunately, officers were tied up on a rescue call, so this impolite pooper was never given notice.
3:35 p.m. – Officers and TCFD/paramedics responded to the intersection of Janesville Rd. and Moorland Rd. for a two vehicle accident. Despite one vehicle flipping over and landing right side up (allegedly), no major injuries were reported. One vehicle had to be towed. A 35 year old resident of the W18000 block of Riese Dr. was cited for running a red light and causing the accident. Crash report completed.
9:34 p.m. – Officers responded to a residence in the W16700 block of Green Ct. for the report of a domestic altercation occurring between a father/son duo. Son was under the influence of alcohol. Someone usually is, but the screaming match got mom worried enough to call. Upon officers’ arrival, parties were separated and everyone got to tell their side of the story. At the end of it all, son was given a ride elsewhere for the evening till cooler heads prevailed. At 22 years of age, maybe it’s time to move out.
