The City of Muskego has launched www.MuskegoPublicSafety.com to provide residents with factual information about the Public Safety Referendum that will appear on the Tuesday, November 3, 2026, General Election ballot. Electors will be asked to vote on an approximately $5.9 million annual increase in the City’s property tax levy to establish a full-time, combination municipal Fire/EMS Department and add public safety staffing to the Police and Public Works Departments.

The website includes the ballot question, proposed staffing and rationale for the request, estimated property tax impact, frequently asked questions, public information session dates, and supporting documents.
