The lake district is looking for help to find a tipping location for the harvested w**ds for a week or two. Trees on the move is not currently ready for us to start using their property. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Without a spot to tip the w**ds we won't be able to harvest.

As of this mornings conversation with the DPW the dam will be closed Monday 3/18/2024. We will post an update if anything changes.

Aquatic w**d treatment - Tuesday June 9th.

The Lake District Board has finalized a contract with the DNR and a third party to spray chemicals in Little Muskego Lake to greatly reduce the w**d growth on Tuesday, June 9th. We are treating over 110 acres - Most of the shoreline around the lake will be treated, with an additional emphasis on Hillview Bay.

Please refrain from any irrigation after Monday. In addition, signs will be posted on piers - on the water facing side, per DNR regulations.

The last three weeks has seen significant w**d growth and we are confident that this treatment will have a quick and positive affect on the w**d population on Little Muskego Lake.

Have a great summer everyone!

Reminder to Little Muskego Lake Residents. Tomorrow the Muskego Common Council is going to vote on whether to continue to support the Lake District by supplementing our annual budget by contributing 15% of that budget, or to change course after over 35 years and base their contribution on the number of lake access properties that they own - thus reducing their contribution by more than $30,000 each year.

If they vote to change their contribution, the Lake District will need to raise your annual dues to continue to support the lake - which is exactly what the city is counting on. They believe we will not eliminate services, but instead, pick up their slack.

If you are against them changing their contribution,
I ask that you not only reach out to all of The alderpersons in the city, but to personally attend Tuesday - September 24th - city council meeting at City hall.

There is a 5:00 Finance committee meeting, where this will be discussed, along with the bi-monthly common council meeting at 6:00, where the resolution will be voted on. Please attend and voice your opposition to this resolution.

Thank You.
