Exiting opportunity to volunteer within the City's Conservation sites!
Join us this Friday at Badertscher Preserve for the kickoff of Muskego’s new Friday Volunteer Stewardship Crew!
We’ll spend the morning learning about and removing garlic mustard, an invasive woodland plant that reduces biodiversity and impacts wildlife habitat in our forests and natural areas. No experience is necessary — this is a great opportunity to learn a little ecological restoration while spending time outdoors with others who care about conservation and community.
We’ll also take some time to enjoy spring migration and do a little casual birding along the trails as warblers and other migratory birds continue moving through the area.
Coffee and doughnuts will be provided.
Please wear:
• Long pants
• Closed-toe shoes or boots
• Clothes appropriate for the weather
• Gloves if you have them
This is intended to be a relaxed and welcoming volunteer opportunity focused on stewardship, learning, and connection to the landscape.
Location: Badertscher Preserve
Time: 9:00am start, people are free to leave at any point, and we will wrap up at 1:00pm
If you are interested in attending please fill out the volunteer form attached:

We hope to see you there as we begin building a strong community stewardship program for Muskego’s natural areas.
