Meet Terry, a member of our board since January 2024. Terry currently serves as Director of the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, the central coordinating agency supporting Michigan’s 486,000 veterans and their families. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to service—from 25 years as a police officer and firefighter in the Muskegon Heights area, to serving three terms as a State Representative and two terms as a Muskegon County Commissioner. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Terry considers his military service his greatest honor.

Terry and his wife, Denise, have four children and ten grandchildren. Together, they value time with family and share a deep commitment to serving their community.

In his words, “I’m proud to be affiliated with the amazing and passionate group of individuals at Pioneer Resources. The organization clearly thinks about service to others over self.” Thank you, Terry, for your leadership, expertise, and passion to serve others!

Meet Jessica! Our Mill Iron home manager and a member of our Pioneer Resources family for 11 years! Jessica started her career here as a driver - stepping in where needed before she took on her current role at Mill Iron.

When she’s not working, Jessica enjoys quality time with the people she loves—whether that’s relaxing around a fire with friends and family or taking in the sights on trips to the Upper Peninsula. As the oldest in a big family and a proud mom of five (plus four grandchildren and one more on the way!), she’s surrounded by loved ones! And if that wasn’t enough, her home is also filled with animals—birds, cats, dogs, and fish—making it a lively and joyful place.
