Meet Meredith! Meredith joined Pioneer Resources in another department, but her previous transportation experience led her to change lanes and join our Muskegon transportation team, where she's served as a manager for the last year. Meredith thrives on the challenges that transportation can bring; every day is something new! When she's not coordinating drivers and schedules, you'll likely find her fishing, hunting, or spending time with family and friends. She's been married to her husband Tim (also a PR employee!) for four years and stays busy with three kids and three dogs at home. Thank you, Meredith, for all you do to help connect people to the places they need to go!

And that's a wrap on our summer work crews!

Pioneer Resources and Michigan Rehabilitative Services (MRS) partnered to provide hands-on, real-world job experiences for students with disabilities as they earned an hourly wage. Transportation was funded by a generous grant from DTE Energy Foundation, making sure our students could get to and from their job sites; we are so grateful!

Four sites, five groups, six weeks, new friends, and lots of learning! Students worked through realistic job challenges like learning new tasks, adapting to the ever-changing weather, asking for help when needed, and navigating workplace relationships.

Thank you to DTE, MRS, our fantastic mentors, the job site staff, and our outstanding students for another successful summer work crew experience! 🎉

Participants in our Ottawa CLS program planted sunflower seeds earlier this season, and look how they've grown! Just like these flowers, our participants continue to grow and shine a little brighter every day. 🌻 They are so proud, and so are we!

Meet Ginger! Ginger has been a driver with us for 21 years this month! Over the past two decades, Ginger has seen transportation evolve in countless ways, from paper route sheets to today's routing software and GPS. Ginger is always willing to step in where she's needed, taking on different routes and helping ensure the people we support get where they need to go safely and reliably.

When she's not behind the wheel, Ginger enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have been married for nearly 42 years, and together they have three adult daughters, two granddogs, and five grandcats. In her free time, she loves canning and getting lost in a great book.

Thank you, Ginger, for your 21 years of dedication, flexibility, and caring service. We appreciate all you've done and continue to do for Pioneer Resources and the people we support! 🚐
