Thanks to Muskegon Area Amateur Radio Council www.w8zho.com https://www.facebook.com/groups/w8zho for hosting the 2026 ARRL Annual summer Field Day at Montague Township Park. We would like to thank Montague Township for the use of the park, and facilities. It was a great location with plenty of room to spread out.
Steve, KE8JKQ finally got to make some 10 meter contacts on Field Day including pulling in Puerto Rico!

Gordon, K8DIY made a 6 meter contact to Haiti on a Hamstick Dipole antenna. Check out the W8ZHO page for pictures.

So many people that worked to make this event happen: Mike W8MKG, Tom K8EOD, Greg KE8UAJ, and many more.

We had a visit from City of Montague Mayor Tom Lohman, KD8YWO. Whitehall Police Chief Brandon Mahoney, Muskegon County Emergency Management Manager Renee Gavin, K8PEM made an appearance.

Media Personality Andy O'Reilly from www.Muskegonchannel.com arrived and interviewed Renee Gavin and Scott King, W8AOR, Muskegon County’s AUXCOMM Manager.

Today, we celebrate the dads, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who help guide, support, and protect their families through life's storms, both literal and figurative.

Whether you're spending the day grilling, enjoying the outdoors, or simply making memories with loved ones, we hope you have a safe and enjoyable Father's Day.

From all of us at MCECS, thank you to the fathers who make a difference every day.

We had a great time with Go-Kit Night at the EOC. Team was able to setup, make contacts, tear down and packup in a little over 2 hours. Showcasing our mobility skills for setting up emergency communications. We even had some visitors come in from Oceana, Newaygo and Ottawa county! Four counties of ARES/Auxcomm Emergency Communicators. First full run of one of our MCECS All Band All Mode Go-Kits.
