As we reflect over the last several days, one thing above all stands out. “Teamwork” With a single goal in mind of reuniting 3 individuals with their families, hundreds of people working together including The Michigan State Police, DNR, Volunteers, First Responders, Businesses, Residents, Emergency Management, and so many more who supplied resources from multiple counties from all across the State of Michigan. We have witnessed first-hand how training, knowledge, technology, expertise and hard work can pay off. Everyone involved with this search shared the frustration with some search areas turning up no new clues. However, some continued to give us hope. Every step of this process was imperative to the ongoing search to help build out next steps. In the end we experienced some of the most rewarding results by reuniting Jazmin, Sarah, and Kayden back with their families. In addition, the career long training of many responders resulted in high emotions with the success of this mission. We do not want to leave anyone out who was a part of this but have compiled a list to show that every resource available was used in some capacity. We are extremely grateful for this outcome, and want to thank each and every person who was involved. It did not matter what agency you were associated with, You, were a part of a Unified Team with a single goal. And “Teamwork” resulted in a successful conclusion to this incident.
