GREAT NEWS! Child's footprints lead rescue crews to missing tubers, alive, three days after going missing on the Muskegon River.

I just talked to MSP about this incredible update. Here's what we know:

Michigan State Police say the trio was found Friday afternoon, about three-quarters of a mile northeast of the Mill Iron Boat Launch.

DNR officers spotted small footprints along the riverbank and brought in a K-9 tracker, which led them to the missing tubers.

They were talking when rescuers found them, but were very worn out from the elements and had to be extricated from the woods.

All three have been taken to the hospital for treatment.

After a days-long search, this is the outcome everyone was hoping for.

If you are missing the smoke that we had last week, or the heat that we had a couple of days ago, you might want to start a fire in your backyard. DON'T. We haven't had significant rain in a while, and things are pretty dry. The DNR is saying no open burning today. Follow their advice! Be Safe!
