Resource Friday Spotlight: Safe Haven

Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and supported.

AgeWell Services is proud to partner with Safe Haven through Senior Resources of West Michigan to help protect and support older adults throughout Oceana, Muskegon and Ottawa counties. While SafeSeniors of West Michigan through AgeWell Services and Safe Haven are separate programs, we share a commitment to preventing older adult abuse, neglect and financial exploitation and ensuring older adults have access to the resources and support they need.

Safe Haven provides confidential support, advocacy and resource connections. If you suspect abuse, neglect or financial exploitation of an older adult, a report should also be made to Adult Protective Services (APS) at (855) 444-3911

Through education, awareness, prevention and community partnerships, we can work together to ensure older adults live with dignity, safety and respect.

What a great day at Mac Wood's Dune Rides! ☀️🌊

During the Senior Community Activity outdoor adventure in August, we had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful Silver Lake Sand Dunes, enjoying the fresh air, scenic views and plenty of laughs along the way.

From the excitement of the dune ride to the opportunity to connect with friends old and new, it was a day filled with fun, adventure and great memories.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this outing so special. We love creating opportunities for older adults to stay active, engaged and connected while experiencing some of the best our community has to offer.

Be sure to check out the photos from our adventure and keep an eye out for future trips and activities!
