Muskegon Early Learning Partnerships formerly Great Start of Muskegon This work was formerly called the Great Start Collaborative. These page was developed under a grant awarded by the Michigan Department of Education.

Early Learning Partnerships of the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District coordinates partners and resources to help all Muskegon County families give their children a great start. We are a collaborative of over 45 schools, agencies and individuals who are committed to improving services to children aged 0 to 5 years of age. We represent the areas of physical health,social-emotional health, early care and education, and parenting education and support.

To be eligible, you must:
Be at least 21 years old when you apply
Have lived in Michigan for a year or more
Have a high school diploma
Have not yet completed a college degree (associate or bachelor's)

Read a story while enjoying the outdoors out at Smith-Ryerson Park in Muskegon!
Smith-Ryerson Park is located at 650 Wood St, Muskegon, MI 49442.

Hackley Public Library currently has Story Trail boards showcasing the children’s book “Dinosaur Roar!” written and illustrated by Paul and Henrietta Stickland.

This Story Trail is part of a joint collaborative amongst Hackley Public Library, White Lake Community Library, Muskegon Area District Library, Great Start of Muskegon and Read Early. Read Often., with different Story Trails at various locations!
