Mountain View now has 7 Swift Water certified rescuers, thanks to our board they approved us for all new dry suits and PPE. Swift Water 1 certified rescuers included Assistant Chief M. Stone, Captain T. Cumbey, firefighter T.Walker, L. Knight and B. Royse, Swift Water 2 certified includes Chief J. Wood and firefighter Jeff Smith.

Our members come from a variety of different backgrounds. We are always seeking new membership! Firefighters, traffic control, truck operators, scene support. There is a job for you!

It is with sadness that Mountain View Fire has lost a fellow firefighter. Troy Wiedel you will be missed, your dedication for the last 20 years to our community was unmatched. You were always there whenever something was needed to be done. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Burnie and the Wiedel family. Troy you will be deeply missed.

Mountain View Fire had 3 firefighters that spent Saturday and Sunday training in tahlequah. I would like to thank Todd Cumbey, Tommy Moffett and Logan knight for giving up their weekend to train, to better the community we serve! Thank you Tech RESQ for always putting on awesome trainings! Mountain View Fire now has 5 firefighters with Ropes 1 or higher!

Mountain View Fire Assistant Chief M. Stone, firefighters T. Cumbey, J. Geoffory and L. Knight attending swift water certification class this past weekend. Mountain View Fire now has 6 certified swift water personnel. We sure appreciate these guys taking time out of their busy schedules to attend this 2 day course. Mountain View Fire is always looking for ways to be better servants to our community and to our county.

Christmas party for the firefighters yesterday!

Mountain View Fire has received and installed our new skid unit for our Ranger. Now we will be able to fight fire in those tight spots and wooded areas, along with being able to draft from a water source out in the field.
