Gooseneck Bend Fire Station

On Saturday June 14th, Brushy Mtn Fire Dept. & Gooseneck Bend Fire Dept. had joint extrication training. Training together with our Mutual aid partner, allows us work side by side on accident scenes. Recently both Brushy Mtn & Gooseneck Bend purchased AMKUS rescue gear which will allow both Departments the ability to do vehicle extrication. Thank you to Jerry Hooper with ICTC for providing this training to our departments and thank you to Jeff Beller and Brock Clark for the instruction on using our tools. Thank you to our volunteer firefighters for giving your free time to train to better serve the residents in our communities.

Congratulations to Captain Taylor Schneidwent for being our First Responder of the year. Taylor works in the district and is one of the reasons we are able to respond to all medical calls during the day. Thank You Taylor !

Congraulations To Captain Ryan Albright who is our Fire Fighter of the year. Ryan takes on any task asked of him. Ryan besides being a Fire Fighter 2 and our training officer is currently enrolled in EMT class. Thanks for all you do Ryan !

Our annual Christmas dinner was tonight. We had a shrimp boil that everyone seemed to enjoy. This past year 2 fire fighters retired and were honored for the service. Chief Kent Seim ( Not pictured ) and Assistant Chief Kenneth Alexander. Both Fire fighters each served the Gooseneck Bend Community for 32 years each. Thank you both for your dedicated service ..
