This is an Arduino. Arduinos are open source single board computers that are a great way to learn coding and electronics. The software to program them is free, easy to use and comes pre loaded with a number of different projects. Learn how to turn on lights and motors, how to use thumbsticks and buttons, and more! The fab lab has Arduinos, breadboards, motors, LEDs and a ton of other electronic components for you to play with, as well as the tools to mill and solder circuit boards. Learning 3D design can seem daunting at first, but there is a wealth of resources right at your fingertips that can help you get started! TinkerCad is a free, web based resource that will teach you the very basics of navigating and designing in a 3D environment, and allows you to export your designs into 3D print files that can be printed at the Fab Lab. Friendly for all age groups, TinkerCad also has electronics and code block projects that will bring out the maker in everyone! Check it out!
