The After School Youth Program that is hosted at the Dream Center at the Martin Luther King Community Center is proud to join thousands of communities in celebrating and rallying for afterschool programs as the Afterschool Alliance organizes the annual Lights On Afterschool awareness campaign!

We are excited to continue shine a light on the positive impact afterschool programs are making – inspiring learning and helping youth realize their full potential. Locally 150 kids ages kindergarten through 6th grade rely on our afterschool program every day for a safe place to be, learn and grow!

This nationwide event, that takes place in October of 2025, calls attention to the importance of afterschool programs and the resources required to keep the lights on and the doors open, especially as programs step up to help students, families, and communities. The Dream Team After School Program is proud to be a Lights On Afterschool partner.
