Great to see this investment and partnership in motion. Cleaning and rebuilding our city one step at a time!

Just recently, we shared an update about the Main Street sidewalk improvement project, and now we’re excited to see even more progress taking place! 🚧

As of yesterday, demolition began on the remaining half-block of sidewalks, and this morning we’re already seeing fresh concrete being poured. These improvements are an exciting step forward in creating a safer, more comfortable, and more welcoming downtown experience for everyone.

Quality sidewalks do more than improve accessibility—they help create an inviting environment that supports our local businesses and encourages residents and visitors to spend more time exploring downtown.

We’re thrilled to see this project moving forward and appreciate everyone’s patience during construction. We can’t wait to see more sidewalk improvements take shape throughout downtown in the coming years as we continue investing in the future of Muskogee. 👏

Nothing makes me feel better than interacting with our small business owners. My commitment to supporting and promoting local businesses has never wavered. When we invest in our own community, everyone benefits. The return on that investment is stronger businesses, more opportunities, and a brighter future for us all.

And if you haven’t stopped by Mattie Jane’s on Main Street, I highly suggest you do. You will not be disappointed!

I am aware of the appearance of the new business located at Chandler and Country Club, and I understand the concerns many residents have expressed.

I have stressed to staff that we must send a clear message: we are committed to raising the bar in our city. While we cannot change everything overnight, we can continue to set and enforce high standards that reflect the pride we have in our community.

Little by little, working together, we will raise the bar, improve the appearance of our city, and restore the sense of pride that our residents deserve. Progress takes time, but our commitment to a cleaner, more attractive, and more welcoming community remains strong.

What a fantastic month May was! From speaking engagements and community events to spending time with so many great people across Muskogee, we’ve truly hit the ground running as promised.

Muskogee is on the move, and I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of the progress we’re making together. The momentum is building, and it’s exciting to see the energy and enthusiasm throughout our community.

As we look ahead, we’re excited for a great summer and all the opportunities, events, and accomplishments that lie before us. The best is yet to come!

My wife and I had the best time yesterday attending events all over the west side of town. We ate some of the best food we’ve ever had and were treated like family. We both felt right at home, because we were. When we come together as one community, there is no one that can defeat us. I have never been so proud to live in Muskogee as I am today!

I would like to personally thank Mr. Parks and Mr. Stern for their hard work, vision, and passion in bringing family-friendly entertainment to Muskogee. I’d also like to thank every donor and sponsor who stepped up to support them and help make this possible.

I encourage everyone to go out and see everything happening there today. We went last night and had a great time.

Dr. Tracy Hoos is giving away $1,000 today to three lucky patrons. All you have to do is make a purchase at the fair and you’ll receive a ticket. The winning tickets will be drawn just before tonight’s headliner takes the stage. One lucky person will win $500, and two others will win $250 each.

Go out, support them, and have a great weekend!

Thank you to all of our police officers who acted swiftly and professionally this morning in apprehending a vandalism suspect. As a community, we should not and will not, tolerate this type of behavior. I am deeply saddened that our local businesses were impacted by this incident, and I stand with those affected.

Yesterday evening, I was honored to speak at our very own library. My wife and I were invited, along with others, to experience an interactive exhibit created in partnership with the Library of Congress. Even more exciting, our library was one of only two rural libraries in the entire country selected to participate, how amazing is that!

I am incredibly proud of our library staff and the dedication, passion, and hard work they pour into serving our community each and every day. Their efforts continue to make a real difference for so many people.

I encourage everyone to stop by and experience this wonderful exhibit for yourselves. There are also several activities taking place today for visitors of all ages. The exhibit will remain here for approximately one year, so there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy it.

Be sure to check it out and support our local library!
