or just assisting a citizen with changing a smoke detector battery, the men and women of the Mustang Fire Department
are dedicated to our Mission. One of our ongoing goals of the fire departmen
t is to provide Mustang citizens with pre-hospital advanced medical care
(paramedic level). To achieve this goal, department members are being trained in advance medical care and incentives
for firefighters that achieve Intermediate and Paramedic licensure have been instituted. Patients will continue to be
transported to hospital care facilities by EMSA, but Advanced Life Support (ALS) capability by the Mustang Fire Department
has become reality.
