PM 1 FAST Assessment Time!

Our Mustangs are getting ready to show what they know! Please take a moment to review the PM 1 FAST Assessment Schedule below so you know when your child will be testing. An email and text message with more information were also sent through Focus.

Families, you can help your child feel prepared and confident by:

😴 Getting a good night’s rest — a rested brain is a ready brain!
🥞 Eating a healthy breakfast — fuel up for a great day of learning! (All students can eat breakfast for free at school.)
⏰ Arriving to school on time — being here and ready to go helps your child start strong.
🏫 Planning to stay until testing is finished — please avoid early checkouts on your child’s testing day whenever possible.

Most importantly, remind your child to do their best! You’ve got this, Mustangs! 🐴💙

We had an AMAZING turnout of Mustang families and students for Parent University! From learning alongside our teachers to connecting with one another, our families showed just how much they care about our students and their success.

Our first Title I Family Meeting of the school year was standing room only! 🙌 Seeing so many families take the time to learn and partner with us was truly incredible.

This is what a strong school community looks like! When our families and school work together, our Mustangs THRIVE!

Thank you to every family who joined us and to our incredible staff for making tonight such a success! We really are the GREATEST SCHOOL ON EARTH! 💙

This Friday, Myakka City Elementary will be honoring the life and legacy of Dolly Parton with a special “Coat of Many Colors: A Day for Dolly!” ❤️📚🌈

Dolly’s incredible love for children, literacy, kindness, and BIG dreams has impacted generations, and we’re excited to celebrate that legacy at Myakka City Elementary.

Students are encouraged to wear bright colors or country attire on Friday! Throughout the day, we’ll Read for Dolly, Dream More, and Spread Kindness with simple acts that remind our Mustangs how much a little kindness can matter. ❤️

We can’t think of a better way to honor someone who believed so strongly that every child deserves books in their hands, dreams in their hearts, and kindness along the way. ❤️🐴📚

Our Agriculture program is off to a great start this year! We want to give a big thank you to a wonderful surprise from Boyz Ag. They sent a box of dairy related goodies to promote learning and fun. Thank you, Boyz Ag, for your support to our program at Myakka City Elementary!
