Hello everyone! We hope you all have been well, enjoyed the snow and braved the cold weather!

We have not posted or shared updates in a few months, so we will. Your prayers, encouragement and gifts allowed students and families to have a wonderful holiday season, stay warm, have plenty to eat, join school clubs, complete projects, apply to college (get accepted AND earn scholarships-💰💰💰), pay fees and even have fun on school trips!! Kindness matters. Respect is appreciated. Encouragement is necessary. When we “see” them, our young people feel special and valued. For some, your generosity has meant EVERYTHING and for One, it made way for GRADUATION!! 🎓📜💚💛 Yes, we have a January graduate; Congratulations MJ!!!!!! We areSO proud of you! ❤️

Hello Friends and Supporters!! We trust you are all doing well and enjoying this cool, crisp weather. It has been some time since we’ve posted and I realized this when sharing our organization’s mission with a new comer and a children’s advocate from a SC organization.

So, let’s get on with the update. While we have only served two students with short term housing, we are blessed to be able to meet the everyday needs of eligible students through the provision of direct services.

Last year, one four member family and ten students were served. NINE of them graduated;🧑‍🎓👩🏽‍🎓📜four are in college and five are working!! One is a senior this year.

YOU provided support for TEN young people to have a “normal” senior/junior year without the stress of worrying about how they would afford the simple things that many take for granted. Things such as school supplies, yearbooks, technology fees, prom tickets, application fees, trip deposits, etc. And yes, when requested, the necessities and essentials were also provided-clothing and food.
In addition to these items, EACH graduate received a set of luggage.

The Word speaks about TEN who were blessed, yet only ONE returned to say, “thanks!” Well, several of the students and families blessed by YOU, returned to say thanks and they are grateful.

On behalf of the students, families and those of us who are committed to addressing the needs of eligible students, we say THANK YOU and may you continue to be Blessed abundantly!!! We appreciate you and your support of Nana’s Hope House!!!!!

Prom has come and gone, but it’s always the right time to say, “THANK YOU!” We wish to thank our “forever sponsor,” John Raisis of Formal Wear of Myrtle Beach!! For decades and as Seahawks alums, this company and this family has served our community very, very well!! ❤️💚💛

Hello Friends and Supporters! THANK YOU for the love and support for our students!! 💗

Please allow the Board Members of Nana’s Hope House to officially introduce 2023 PROM PROMISE PROJECT, an initiative that supports eligible students who wish to attend their high school Prom.

Because of your continuous generosity, NHH is able to assist students with purchasing tickets, accessories and making referrals for gowns and tux!!

Please place yourselves in position to refer students by listening and being aware of available resources. Have students see their school Principal who will assist in determining eligibility and get them to the right place!

Because of YOU, students will have a great experience and make lasting memories!!!!!

Nana’s Hope House will turn the challenge that homeless students face in finding a nurturing environment during high school into a victory. By offering the renovated home of the late mother, Mary C. Canty, as a safe-haven facility for homeless and independent high school students, it will give them the best chance to succeed.

🏡 A new safe home in Myrtle Beach will give local students the hope and opportunity they need and deserve to complete their high school education and earn their diploma.

Thousands of students in South Carolina are identified as “homeless” and independent, so finding a nurturing environment during high school is a challenge for them. Nana’s Hope House, Inc., a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, can be that safe place for students in need at no cost to them.
