Happy to report the skies have cleared and starting at 6pm tonight Santa will begin his tour of Lake Arrowhead and Atlantic Beach. Please feel free to bring the kids out to say hello to Santa! Please refrain from bringing out dogs for pictures they scare the reindeer. See you tonight.

It's that time of the year again. This Saturday starting at 5pm. The big man, that Jolly old guy, Santa will be on his Santa tour through Lake Arrowhead answer Atlantic Beach. If you hear our sirens and see the big truck,, bring the kids outside for a chance to meet Santa. See you soon.

Congratulations to HCFR # 7 Chef extraordinaire oh and Medic Ricky Gibbins and our own Captain Chris Edmonds for winning the Crooked Chili Cook Off yesterday. Our Medic finished 1st and our Captain 2nd by .1 points. Not only are these two some of the best in the county , but their Chili isn't bad either and we are proud to say they are part of your Lake Arrowhead Team. ( Wanto to try some? As a prize it will be a featured dish at Crooked Hammock Brewery for a limited time. " Stop by and get you some"

HCFR PROMOTIONAL PINNING CEREMONY

You're invited to join us at 2 p.m. today for a promotional pinning ceremony for members of Horry County Fire Rescue who've recently advanced in our organization, as they're going to be pinned and recognized for their leadership!

This event takes place at the Langston Baptist Church at 763 Hwy. 905 in Conway.

From the , we have a blast back to approximately 1997, and our former Station 7 (Lake Arrowhead) for the Horry County Fire Department.

The dedicated employee you see in the middle is no other than current Assistant Chief of Operations Thomas Loeper, washing the then Assistant Chief of Operations' vehicle.

At 8:29 a.m., Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire on Cascade Loop in Little River.

This incident is under control.

A residence sustained heavy fire damage, mostly in the garage area.

There are no reported injuries at this time.

Two displaced residents will be offered assistance from American Red Cross of South Carolina.

The cause of this fire will be under investigation.

Horry County Police Department is assisting.
