The Myrtle Beach Police Department K9 Team is grateful to the Murrells Inlet Veterinary Hospital for providing our K9 officers with specialized medical kits made by Dustoff K9.
K9 Officers PFC. Porzio-Heard, PFC. Sonko, PFC. Struckus, and PFC. Channani, along with their K9 partners, were present to receive the kits. These resources will help ensure our four-legged partners stay safe and cared for while serving our community.
Thank you to Murrells Inlet Vet Hospital and Dustoff K9 for supporting our team!

Meet K9 Goose and Pfc. Brandon Sonko! 🐶👮‍♂️

The Myrtle Beach Police Department proudly introduced its newest K9 team on February 12. Pfc. Brandon Sonko and K9 Goose recently completed specialized training in Pennsylvania and are now officially part of our department’s K9 Unit.

Pfc. Sonko has been a dedicated member of MBPD for over three years and recently transitioned into his new role as a K9 handler. Goose, who has been with the department for just over a year, was paired with Pfc. Sonko upon his assignment to the K9 Division.

Together, they are prepared to serve and protect the community, working as dedicated partners in crime prevention and public safety. Please join us in welcoming this dynamic duo to their new roles!

You’ll be greatly missed by our unit, our team, and our community. Rest easy K9 Yep.🐾💙
