It's National Police week! It's purpose is to bring law enforcement and the community together, honoring the officers dedication to protect and serve. It also recognizes fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while in the line of duty.

Today, Woodmenlife Chapter 1111 is proud to present an American Flag to Police Chief Mickle and officers of the Surfside Beach Police Department to honor their sacrifices. We were honored to have the Surfside Beach Mayor, Town Administrator and Communication Coordinator present as well. Thanks for your service in making Surfside Beach a safe and fun place for residents and visitors alike!

Hello Chapter peeps! Important announcement: our Chapter Hall spring cleaning day scheduled for next Saturday, March 21 is being canceled. We will schedule for another date.

We hope to see you at our next quarterly Chapter meeting there on April 20.

What a fun night we had putting 90 Valentine gift bags together! Even more fun and rewarding was delivering them to each resident of Angel Oak in Socastee. The staff there is wonderful and takes great care of the seniors. Everyone was so happy and appreciated the love we shared with them.

As we were finishing up our rounds we received a treat too! There was a Mardi gras parade in the hall and residents were throwing out candy. They really know how to have fun, especially our new friend Ms. Francine! (Last photo)

For those who can, please meet at the Chapter Hall this Saturday at 10am to put together the gift baskets for the seniors at Angel Oak. We will deliver them on Tuesday, February 17. Meet at the nursing home in Socastee just before 2pm then so we can walk in together. ❤️

Hey members! It's time for our first Chapter meeting of 2026! Hope to see you Monday, January 19, 6:30pm at the Chapter Hall. We will have a wonderful meal together and install officers as a part of the business portion.

Merry Christmas Y'all! Our Chapter elves helped spread Christmas cheer to 11 children from Help 4Kids angel tree this year. Pictured below is one of their volunteers with Julie Brannock and Sharri Hammond accepting the gifts. May God continue to bless us all.
