You may notice some discoloration in the tap water today. Hydrants from Maryland to Harris will be opened for a short period. Starting Monday September 14, 2026, Public Works will be flushing hydrants starting on the top of Maple Street and working their way down the hill. This will last for at least four days. If you notice any discoloration in your water, please run an outside water spigot until it runs clear or your bathtub water faucet. we apologize for any inconvenience.

**REMINDER REGARDING GOLF CARTS IN THE CITY LIMITS**
Per City ordinance 1294-All golf carts must be inspected, registered, insured and driven by a licensed driver in city limits. Applications for temporary and yearly permits can be found on the city website https://www.ci.myrtlepoint.or.us/ under resources (forms and applications). This ordinance will be enforced and penalties will apply.
