We were able to "rescue" a bee hive last week and it is still alive. We must have done something right. We love our bees.

We just harvested our first honey! Joel wanted to keep bees. We went to the Grants Pass area in April and picked up our first hive! We really weren't expecting any real product this year but our busy bees rewarded us with a little honey. It is very yummy and I am slowly 'cooking' the wax off of the last little bit (most will remain truly raw) so I can attempt making some beeswax candles! FUN!

Oh, how I love seeing all of the fruit trees studded with little tiny babies! The cherries are getting big... now just for the ripening! :-) And the tiny pears are JUST adorable. I MUST remember to take some photos to share with you!

The baby plants are popping their little heads up and the flowers are showing signs of early blooms! I love watching things grow. It reassures me that spring is here!
