Myton City is putting feelers out there for life skills classes…Is there an interest in the community for a weekly youth beginners sewing class or adults if you would like to attend. There would be no fee for this class instruction. However, when the projects are made, participants will be required to bring their own fabric.

Power is back on

I just got off the phone with MLEC. The power outage has been cause by a tripped breaker. Line crews have located the problem and are currently running a line check for any possible fire hazards before resetting the breaker. They are diligent working to get the power back on, hopefully within the hour. I will keep you informed as I hear more.

As you may know, Myton and the surrounding areas are without power and have been since 10:04 tonight. Moon Lake Electric is aware of the problem and are working to fix the issue. You can find updates on their website under outages.

Water lines are fully pressurized and the water is back on. Thank you again for your patience.

***2ND WATER UPDATE***

The water lines have been repaired and the lines are now pressuring. It is going to take about an hour to get water going into all of the city. Please do not turn your faucets on, unless you absolutely need to use it…ie, bathroom…so that the lines can fill with water. Thank you everyone for your patience while our wonderful public works crew worked on the issue.

*****UPDATE ON WATER SITUATION*****
Looks like the water will be off at least until 4pm. The crews are working on the 2 breaks as quickly as they can. Thank you

August 5, 2026... WATER LINE BREAK. Myton has had a water line break, therefore the water has been turned off while we make repairs. We will let you know when it is fixed and the water is back on. As of this time, we are not sure how long it will take. Thank you for understanding and sorry for the inconvience.

In accordance with the Duchesne County Fire and Emergency Management...we are still under the Stage 2 Fire Restrictions for Duchesne County. This includes Myton City. Therefore, Fireworks are still banned for this 24th of July holiday. Enjoy your holiday and fireworks by attending the Altamont Longhorn Days. Thank you for keeping Myton City safe.
