This past weekend, the UTS-SFA PD's Office of Emergency Management led and coordinated, within the Nacogdoches All-Hazard Working Group, a full-scale, multi-agency Active Threat Field Training Exercise in Nacogdoches.
This complex, real-world scenario brought together local, regional, and campus partners to strengthen coordinated response, life-saving tactics, and unified command operations.
From initial response and threat neutralization to triage and command coordination, this exercise tested the systems, partnerships, and decision-making that protect our campus and community every day.
At SFA, the safety and security of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors remains our top priority. Through continued leadership, planning, and collaboration, we are committed to ensuring our campus is prepared for any emergency.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all participating agencies and partners, including Nac PD, NAC FD, SETRAC, NAC ISD PD, NAC ISD, NAC County EM, and SFA School of Nursing & student volunteers, who helped make this exercise a success.
