Drug Arrest:
On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Altima on Highway 59 South, in the northbound lane, for several traffic violations.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was identified as Jevina Marie Coleman, 43 years old, from Nacogdoches, Texas. As deputies identified the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, they found that the driver was a suspect by the Sheriff’s Office in an ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine.
While speaking with Coleman, they observed that she was very nervous and gave conflicting statements. Deputies suspected criminal activity and requested consent to search the motor vehicle. Coleman denied consent, and deputies requested a K-9 come to the scene.
A deputy with the Nacogdoches County sheriff’s office, along with a certified K-9 detector dog, arrived on scene. The deputy conducted a free air search of the outside of the motor vehicle, in which the K-9 gave a positive alert.
Deputies then conducted a probable cause search of the car. During the search, deputies located over two pounds of methamphetamine along with 4 grams of M**A- Ecstasy, 31 grams of Xanax, and 6 grams of ma*****na.
Coleman was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail and charged with the following offenses: Manufacturing or Delivery of a controlled substance, a 1st degree felony, two counts of Possession of a controlled substance, a 3rd degree felony.
At this time, Coleman remains in the Nacogdoches County Jail. Bond was set on all charges at 552,500.00 dollars. This is an ongoing investigation, and the Texas Department of Public Safety assisted in this traffic stop.
