🚨 Buckle up, Nacogdoches! 🚨

The Nacogdoches Police Department is partnering with TxDOT for the Click It or Ticket (CIOT) campaign from May 18 through May 31. During this period, officers will be increasing enforcement of seat belt and child safety seat laws across the city.

Here’s the reminder nobody wants to learn the hard way:
✔️ Seat belts save lives
✔️ Back seat passengers MUST buckle up, too
✔️ Kids under 8 must be in a proper child safety seat or booster (unless taller than 4’9”)

Texas law allows fines and fees up to $200 for violations, but this campaign is about much more than tickets — it’s about making sure everyone gets home safely.

Welcome to the Team!

On Tuesday, May 12th, County Judge Greg Sowell administered the oath of office to our three newest employees who recently graduated from the Angelina Police Academy.

These officers will now begin the Field Training Program, where they will continue developing the skills, experience, and professionalism necessary to prepare for the challenges law enforcement officers face every day while serving our community.
